Common Repair Concerns for High-End Pool Owners

Even with the best equipment and construction, performance issues can arise—especially as systems age or experience heavy seasonal use. For homeowners with custom-built, high-performance pools, identifying and resolving these concerns requires experience with specialized components, integrated automation, and architectural-level system design.

Below are some of the most common repair-related issues we see from clients with luxury pool systems:

  • Noisy or underperforming pumps
Often caused by internal wear, electrical issues, or improper sizing relative to the pool’s hydraulic design.
  • Noisy or underperforming pumps
Often caused by internal wear, electrical issues, or improper sizing relative to the pool’s hydraulic design.
  • Cloudy water despite active filtration
Can indicate filter media deterioration, circulation inefficiency, or chemical imbalance within automated systems.
  • Pool not heating—or overcooling
Heater malfunctions, thermostat failure, or automation miscommunication can lead to erratic temperature control.
  • Automation features unresponsive or unreliable
Smart systems may lose connectivity or experience control board issues, especially in older installations or during upgrades.
  • Flickering, dim, or non-working pool lights
Often related to transformer wear, water intrusion, or wiring degradation within niche housing or conduits.
  • Cleaners stuck, nonfunctional, or missing areas
Whether robotic, pressure, or in-floor systems, performance can degrade due to clogs, gear issues, or failed actuators.

These signs don’t just point to inconvenience—they signal that your pool is not functioning to the standard it was designed for. At All Aqua Pools, we recognize these concerns early, diagnose them accurately, and provide targeted repairs that restore both form and function—without disrupting your finishes or overall system balance.

Pool Pump Repair & Replacement

The pump is the engine of your pool’s circulation system. When performance drops, priming becomes inconsistent, or noise levels increase, it’s often a sign of internal wear, impeller obstruction, or electrical component failure.

  • We assess pump pressure, flow rate, and motor responsiveness

  • Prime loss and air intrusion are evaluated through full hydraulic tracing

  • Replacement pumps are selected to match your pool’s design—not just its size—ensuring proper turnover rates and system efficiency

Our team installs energy-efficient variable speed pumps when suitable, helping reduce electrical costs without sacrificing performance

Pool-Repair

Filter System Repairs & Replacement

Filtration systems are responsible for water clarity and hygiene. Whether using StaRite PosiClear RP filters or other cartridge, sand, or glass media systems, filtration breakdowns can result in cloudy water, pressure spikes, or algae growth.

  • We address system leaks, cracked housings, and clogged or exhausted media
  • Media replacement includes sizing assessments and pressure differential checks
  • Our team is experienced in maintaining advanced high-flow filter systems for large-volume or perimeter overflow pools
Pool-Repair

Pool Cleaner Repairs & Upgrades

Mechanical cleaners—whether robotic, pressure-side, or in-floor systems like the PCC2000—are critical to maintaining finish integrity and reducing manual maintenance.

  • We repair stuck wheels, weak suction, broken internal drives, and clogged intake ports
  • Suction line inspection is included to ensure unobstructed flow
  • Cleaner upgrades are recommended when systems no longer meet cleaning coverage or pool layout needs
  • Our team verifies in-floor jet function, sequencing, and watervalve timing for PCC2000 systems

Heater & Pool Cooling System Repair

Florida’s climate requires precise temperature control, and pools often include gas heaters, electric resistance heaters, or chillers. When temperature fails to regulate, issues can stem from electrical misfires, calcified heat exchangers, or automation miscommunication.

  • We evaluate ignition systems, thermistors, pressure switches, and flow sensors

  • Repairs are performed with attention to manufacturer warranties and automation compatibility

  • Our team confirms integration with timers, remote apps, and spa heating schedules

For pool chillers, we ensure coils are clear, compressors are functioning, and bypass valves are correctly calibrated

Pool Automation System Repairs & Installations

Modern pools rely on automation systems to manage lighting, cleaning, filtration, and heating—all through synchronized scheduling or remote control. When automation fails, it often disrupts the entire system.

  • We troubleshoot smart hubs, relays, actuators, and control boards
  • Upgrade paths are available for clients using older platforms or legacy interfaces
  • Our team can retrofit automation systems to integrate lighting, floor cleaners, and heating zones seamlessly
  • We work with trusted platforms to ensure long-term support and mobile integration

Pool Electrical & Lighting Troubleshooting

Lighting and electrical systems are not only aesthetic—they’re essential to safety. Flickering lights, tripped breakers, or unresponsive fixtures often trace back to water intrusion, failing transformers, or degraded conduit.

  • We inspect all underwater fixtures, transformer boxes, junction points, and ground faults
  • Our team replaces standard lighting with LED or color-changing systems that match the pool’s design and automation platform

All work is performed with code-compliant safety measures, and our electricians coordinate with pool techs to preserve interior finishes during removal or installation

All repairs begin with a consultation and system review to determine the most effective, finish-safe solution. Whether we’re restoring one feature or stabilizing an entire system, our approach is deliberate, respectful of your investment, and grounded in the same precision that defines our builds.

Preventive Measures: Protecting Your Pool Before Repairs Are Needed

The most effective pool repair strategy is often the one that’s never required. For owners of high-end pools, preventive maintenance is not a luxury—it’s a necessity. With advanced equipment, custom finishes, and integrated automation, even small imbalances can lead to premature wear or costly system failures if left unchecked.

At All Aqua Pools, we emphasize early detection and proactive care to protect your investment year-round.

  • Routine Equipment Monitoring:
Subtle shifts in water pressure, filtration cycles, or automation response can signal deeper mechanical issues. Our maintenance plans include performance checks designed to identify early signs of malfunction—before damage occurs.
  • Seasonal System Evaluations:
Changes in weather, usage, and debris load impact your pool’s operation. We offer seasonal startup and shutdown services to prepare your systems for peak or dormant periods without stress or strain on components.
  • Water Chemistry Audits:
Balanced water isn’t just about swimmer comfort—it directly impacts your heater, pump seals, tile grout, and internal plumbing. Our water testing protocols help prevent corrosion, mineral scaling, and surface etching.
  • Visual & Sensor-Based Inspections:
We inspect pool shells, tile lines, valves, pump rooms, and control panels for wear, corrosion, or signs of stress—providing clients with full transparency and peace of mind.
  • Manufacturer-Specific Maintenance Schedules:
We maintain alignment with factory-recommended intervals for systems like the PCC2000 floor cleaner, StaRite PosiClear RP filter, and other equipment used in All Aqua Pools builds—ensuring performance remains within spec.

Preventive care isn’t about avoiding service—it’s about eliminating surprises. By maintaining a consistent maintenance strategy, clients reduce the likelihood of unexpected breakdowns and extend the useful life of every component in their aquatic environment.

They built our pool in the spring of 2012. We could not be more pleased with the finished product. Chad Erickson and his crew and company were very forthright to deal with. They take great pride in the quality of their work. They are organized and finished the pool according to the time schedule that was established. The Ericksons were on site many times after the pool was finished making sure that all systems were in working order. And they are a friendly lot and can easily be communicated with.

All Aqua Pools built my pool which exceeded my expectations. After meeting the owner, Chad Erickson, we found that between his enthusiasm for his work and the fact that he would self perform most of the labor and all of the supervision we decided to allow All Aqua Pools to build our dream pool.

Chad was very big on building pools that are low maintenance and energy efficient. Floor circulation, two speed pump, LED Lighting, Salt system and Large filter. We are so happy now that we took his advice.

Chad did exactly what he told us he would do; he did over 75% of all the labor, supervised the rest and built our swimming pool in 4 weeks just in time for labor Day. Chad was there for every phase, every day, whether performing the work or supervising the work.

This letter serves as a thank you for your professionalism and quality pool product provided to our family this past summer. We certainly understand that this pool project was not a cookie-cutter type project and required over and above expertise and creativity to implement. With three different elevations to work with and various extra bells and whistles along the way, it certainly required a knowledgeable staff to make it all come together. And that is what you provided.

We appreciate your attention to our issues and concerns and attempts to remedy them promptly. Your priority of great customer service is apparent. Thank you again and we will be happy to refer you to others considering hiring you for their future pool project needs.

All Aqua Pools, Inc. designed and built our 10′ X 18′ heated swimming pool with a floor circulation & debris removal system, and surrounding acrylic pool deck. They installed a retaining wall. Pool equipment includes a two speed pump and salt chlorinator. Contract included permits, excavation, electrical hookups, and poolside “Pool School” to ensure we understood all systems, operations, and maintenance. They cleaned the job site daily during construction leaving no trash piles anywhere in our yard.

We’ve had the experience of hiring Chad Erickson of All Aqua Pools to custom design and build our dream pool. We had many meetings before the start of the pool and Chad was very knowledgeable and helpful with all of our questions.
